The Enugu state police command has begun an investigation into the demise of a 32-year-old lady, Ifeoma Nwachukwu, and her two-year-old daughter, Chimuanya Nwachukwu.

A press release launched by the spokesperson of the state police command, Ndukwe Daniel, says late Ifeoma and her daughter went to mattress on September three and by the subsequent day, September four, didn’t get up.

The spokesperson stated upon receiving the report, operatives of the Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, SP Henry Chijioke Imo, visited the scene of the incident. He stated preliminary investigation confirmed that the deceased and her husband, one Joshua Nwachukwu, 4 youngsters, and their two male guests all slept in the identical room after taking Spaghetti for dinner with a Generator stated to be switched on of their sitting room.

Ndukwe stated the husband of the deceased, alongside three others, have been arrested alongside one Nnamani Nkiruka (feminine) and the Mortician, Victor Onoh (male) in reference to the case, which has been transferred to the State CID for a discreet investigation to unravel the trigger(s) of their demise.

The spokesperson added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmad AbdurRahman, has directed a full-scale investigation into the matter whereas interesting residents of the State to promptly report legal circumstances to the Police somewhat than resorting to self-help in issues requiring thorough Police investigation.
