US Arms Over 200 Ventilators To Nigeria

The USA Authorities has handed over 200 ventilators to the Nigerian authorities.

The gadgets have been introduced on Tuesday by the usAmbassador to Nigeria, Mary Bert Leonard on the Abuja Premier Medical Warehouse within the nation’s capital.

This comes 4 months after President Donald Trump administration promised to assist the nation with ventilators because the Federal Authorities battles the COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the world.

Trump’s promise is sequel to a phone dialog he had with President Muhammadu Buhari on April 28.

The Minister of Data and Tradition, Mr Lai Mohammed, who disclosed this throughout a briefing mentioned the decision which was on the request of the American President centred on Nigeria’s response to COVID-19 pandemic.

Mohammed revealed that the dialog of each leaders centred on the efforts of the Nigerian authorities to sort out the coronavirus pandemic.

Though Nigeria reported 1,337 confirmed COVID-19 instances with its loss of life toll at 40 as of April 26, the variety of infections has nonetheless risen to 46,867 with 950 fatalities recorded as of August 10.
