Why Universities May Not Be Reopening Soon




It has been revealed that plan to reopen universities could not occur quickly.


This comes after the founding father of Afe Babalola College, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola, accused the Tutorial Workers Union of Universities (ASUU), of blocking the reopening of universities.


Babalola mentioned this in a press release launched on Monday and signed by ABUAD Head, Company Affairs, Tunde Olofintila.


In accordance with him, the federal authorities ought to permit remaining 12 months college students of tertiary establishments resume, similar to pupils in Main 6, JSS three and SS three.


Babalola blamed the objection from the “almighty” ASUU as the rationale varsities are nonetheless closed.

ASUU president, Prof Abiodun Ogunyemi, talking final week, insisted the Federal Authorities has not put in place sufficient measures to include the unfold of the pandemic in colleges.
