A gaggle of law enforcement officials have been caught on tape assaulting some younger Nigerians who took to the streets of Abuja to protest in opposition to the elevated electrical energy tarriff.

@AyowoleSanyaolu who famous that the protest on the Nigerian Electrical energy Regulatory Fee (NERC) workplace in Abuja was peaceable, stated the policemen who assaulted them instructed them that they do not have the best to protest. 


He tweeted; 

“Whereas we protest peacefully at @NERCNG , Abuja, in opposition to the inconsiderate increment in electrical energy tariff, @PoliceNG descended on us fiercely. Plenty of us have been mercilessly crushed and others have been dragged like frequent criminals. However in all, we stood our floor. Tyranny is not going to win!
